UPyD ask the promise to change the electoral law for dealing the governance
UPyD maintains as condition for creating a government in cities for example Coslada, Getafe, Álcala and Guadarrama, that the popular party (PP) or spaniard workers socialist party (PSOE) accept the promise to change the electoral law and return the educational competition to the State.
In this way, It has been claiming today through sources for the party, behind the yesterday elections where UPyD became in the fourth political force in the region to getting the six percent of the votes and gets eight seats in the Madrid parliament.
Furthermore, UPyD has the key for the governance in cities where the two great parties have lost the absolute majority such as Alcala de henares, where Popular Party (PP) has get twelve councillors in front of nine has been achieved by Spaniard Workers Socialist Party (PSOE), three has been achieved Union Left Party (IU) , two has been achieved UPyD and one for Spain Two Thousand Party..
So, Bartolome Gonzalez depend on UPyD's actitude if he want to keep the Alcala's chairman seat, something similar it will happen with the socialist major in Getafe, Pedro Castro, who had been twenty -eight years as major.
The Getafe's PSOE has fallen from 13 to 9 councilors, in front of 12 of the PP, four of IU and 2 councilors of UPyD, which it could give the majority to populars or socialists depend on the side they will choose.
In Coslada, the popular have achieved eleven councilors, by eight of the PSOE, three of IU, two of UPyD and one of the republican local party ( Arco). The sum of the three forces of left gives twelve in front of eleven of popular, then the two councilors from UPyD are decisive to Raúl Lopez (PP) can get the Coslada's consistory again which he has been already mayor.
The key of town hall is on the hand of UPyD in Guadarrama too, where an internal break of the popular has carried to a technical tie to six councilors between the PP and the new party APPS, stemming from a break, so depending from the only councilors has achieved by UPyD to be able to host a government.
On the other hand, UPyD has given a surprise in Alcobendas, where it has achieved five councilors and its candidate, the socialist ex-major José Caballero, has been the second more voted with te 19.6 percent.
The UPyD's leaders and candidates, behind celebrating "the almost miracle" of having become to the fourth politic force in Madrid yesterday, are meeting this evening, like they "is usually every Monday" to checking the new perspectives that it has been open.
However, sources from the party say that it won't change the conditions that they ask for the deal; the reform of the national electoral law, that they consider totally unfair because it has damaged to the little parties, and the return to the State of the educational competition.
